Quiero compartir un nuevo sitio Web relacionado con las noticias falsas o "Fake News" llamado "A Citizen's Guide to Fake News" (Una guía ciudadana para las noticias falsas), el cual fue publicado el 28 de Agosto del 2018. 

En este sitio Web, tuve la oportunidad de trabajar con otros estudiantes de doctorado de  la Universidad de California, Santa Barbara (UCSB) y el profesor Joe Walther (UCSB's Center for Information Technology and Society), y cubrimos un detallado abordaje de la naturaleza, historia y consideraciones a tener frente a las noticias falsas. Esto con el propósito de transformar la ciudadanía y fomentar una mirada crítica al consumo de información digital.

I want to share this new Website about #FakeNews called "A Citizen's Guide to Fake News" which was published in August 28th, 2018. 

In this Website, where was able to work along with others Phd students of UCSB and professor Joe Walther (UCSB's Center for Information Technology and Society), we cover a very detailed view of what is Fake news and how, as citizen, we should be prepared to face them and become more critical about it.

Fostering Digital Citizenship is crucial in the XXI century. The current education system is not completely responding to this need, and it is necessary to design experiences across the curriculum to help students to become digital citizens. One of the components of becoming a digital citizen is to be able to use technology in an ethical way. This is, being able to communicate properly in online contexts, being careful to be respectful and mindful of other people's beliefs, ideas, cultural background and point of views of a particular topic. Online hate has become a critical issue in our society and one of the main reason this is happening is because the lack of ability to tolerate or respect opinions or ideologies different than ours.
